Realme Watch has been officially detailed ahead of its launch on May 25 in India. The company’s next smartwatch will have a square dial with a 1.4-inch screen, making it “the largest” in the segment. While pricing and availability details are reserved for launch day, Realme is working hard to attract buyers as sales of non-essential items have resumed with the lockdown eases. The Realme Watch will also have an Apple Watch-esque strap, as seen via official promotional material now available on the Realme website.
Realme’s next smartwatch will be available in a single 1.4-inch screen size. This will be a touchscreen, unlike the one-dot touchscreen used on the Realme Band. Realme offers customization options on the bracelets and colors of the smartwatch. The Realme Watch will be available in the colors blue, red and green, while there will be classic and fashionable variations for the strap used on the smartwatch. The fashion bracelet will be launched later, the website said. The smartwatch has thick bezels all around, with the lower chin emblazoned with the Realme logo.
Realme also offers preloaded watch faces on Realme Watch, but users will be able to create their own custom watch faces. The Realme Watch has been confirmed to come with a feature for smart notifications on supported apps, music playback controls, and a camera shutter control. For pairing, the Realme Link app will be useful, which could also allow the smart watch to sync with the paired smartphone. Realme Link is available on Android right now, but the company has told us that the iOS app will be available soon.
Since the Realme Watch will also be used for health-related functions, there will be up to 14 sports modes preloaded on it. They include football, basketball, table tennis, cycling, swimming, spinning, elliptical, yoga, cricket, running, walking, treadmill, badminton, aerobics and fitness. All of these modes will be monitored using the “Intelligent Activity Tracker” according to the company’s website. Realme Watch will also come with a 24/7 health assistant, which will be responsible for monitoring the user’s health in real time. Components used for real-time health monitoring include a heart rate monitor and a blood oxygen level (SpO2) monitor.
Despite all the feature showcase of its website, Realme has been silent on a few features of Realme Watch. For example, the battery capacity and water resistance of the Realme Watch has not been officially confirmed. But some previous reports have suggested that the Realme Watch will contain a 160mAh battery and that there will be IP68 dust and water resistance on the smartwatch. As this information is not confirmed, readers are advised to take it with a grain of salt.
