Computing in a ring is a concept that has been explored over the years but unfortunately there is nothing concrete to say. In an effort to give Apple fans a new reason to be curious, a designer explored the possibility of an Apple Watch-style ring that can be worn on the finger.
If you feel like the Apple Watch you’re wearing is bulky and impractical for some reason, or if you want something smaller and more convenient to wear, Apple may someday grant it. your wish. The Cupertino giant has made a foray into the arena of smart rings and has a patent in its name. A patent does not necessarily guarantee that the innovative product will be commercially available, and this has been the case with Apple’s smart ring.
Giving more weight to other devices – Apple Watch in particular – in the ring does not imply that Apple has taken over the idea. The designer’s design – Apple Ring and Apple Ring Pro – is an adaptation of Apple’s long-held vision of a smart ring and the Apple Watch as a ring. The Ring, in particular, is pretty much the same smart ring concept that Apple patented in 2015, while the Ring Pro is a nice recreation of the Apple Watch for a ring.
The Ring bracelet is surrounded by a touchscreen while the Ring Pro has a chiseled form factor and a screen that matches the Apple Watch. The rings are both made from solid metal for durability and due to the flowy design they should be quite comfortable to wear. The Ring Pro might be bulkier given its layout, but the Sleek Ring should be a good device for checking vital stats while training or for making or receiving calls on the go. Presumably, when something like these rings lands, the Ring Pro style device would make a smart ring, while the ring would suit the fitness group tasks.
