The OnePlus Watch launch seems to be getting closer and closer since the company launched the OnePlus Band fitness tracker in January. OnePlus is confirmed to be working on a smartwatch, but the launch date remains a mystery for now, although a March timeline seems likely. Now, the OnePlus watch design has surfaced on the German Patent and Trademark Office (GPTO), as TechnikNews spotted. While we can’t say if this will be the final watch design, it remains consistent with previous leaks.
OnePlus watch design
The sketches show that the smartwatch has a round dial and a bracelet. It has two buttons on the right side, presumably for power and selection. The OnePlus watch may also come with a heart rate sensor, blood oxygen and blood pressure monitoring. There are two contact points for the magnetic charge. The OnePlus watch shown in the patents could be a sporty version.
The patent also has another design that looks familiar. It has a different strap design and the frame extends slightly. It also has a clip at the end of the strap. However, the locations of the buttons and sensors are similar to the previous design. OnePlus Watch is said to have a model number W501GB and another with model number W301GB. The company is expected to launch its first smartwatch in March. There is speculation one of them will have the nickname OnePlus Watch RX and look like OPPO Watch RX. Considering that these are sister brands, this is no surprise.
OnePlus is reportedly working on a Cyberpunk 2077 edition as well, but its features are currently under wraps. The company should use its own version of the software instead of relying on Google Wear. We should know more about OnePlus Watch in the future.
